FAQs

Florida Fresh Seafood

  • How do I store fresh fish?

Fresh fish requires cold storage, with an ideal temperature range of 32°F to 38°F. Store your fish in insulated containers or on ice. Make sure trays remain dry, as excess liquid collecting in the tray is a sign that the fish has begun to spoil.
  • Can I freeze wholesale seafood?

Yes, most fresh fish can be frozen to prolong its shelf life. Keep in mind that certain delicate varieties and seafood that's been previously frozen at sea should not be refrozen once thawed.
  • I need a business account to buy wholesale seafood?

Yes, a business account is required. Most wholesalers ask that you pre-qualify for a B2B (business-to-business) account. Customers without an account will be charged retail prices.
  • Is there a minimum order requirement?

We'd be happy to discuss your specific order requirements. Please contact us directly by phone.
  • How early do I need to place my order?

Order cutoff times depend on your supplier and delivery location. For next-day delivery, most suppliers ask that orders be submitted by noon on the previous day.
